MEET THE EASY STREET TEAM:
Our students tell us that Easy Street is their home from home, their second family. So we thought we'd introduce you to our family members.
Principal, Producer and Company Director
Sallianne is the company director and producer at Easy Street, and she's absolutely passionate about theatre. She's a professional director and graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 1994 before moving to London to teach. When returning to Sheffield 3 years later she continued her drama role at various schools and was the founding director of the Picture House Youth Theatre before setting up Easy Street and its academies. To date she has directed 59 shows, musicals, pantos and plays with a combination of school shows at the Crucible main house, the Montgomery, the Sheffield Library Theatre and the Merlin! Sallianne also runs the Saturday academies and is head of Junior Drama at Westbourne School in Sheffield, where you will find her producing the summer musical, teaching the drama club or helping students with their LAMDA examinations from ages 7-11!
Philip has been with Easy Street since we started and has been involved in the Sheffield amateur theatre scene for over 15 years, working with Ecclesall Theatre Co, Manor Operatic, Elsemere and Easy Street. In addition to producing and fund-raising, Philip is very much hands on with his team set designing and working backstage. He has also just become the new NODA North East Rep (2019)! In the 'real world,' Philip is a talented landscape gardener and owner of Bents Green Nursery.

Amanda has been teaching our students to move in the right direction, at the right time, to the right music, and all together (not an easy feat) since we started. She is a Licenciate member of the IDTA and has ran her own dancing school in Gleadless - The Amanda Holland School of Dance - for over 29 years now, using her vast experience of ballet, tap and modern to provide the choreography for our shows. After taking lead roles for Southey Musical Theatre, Splinters and Manor Operatic when she was younger, she switched to choreography. Amanda has choreographed Pirates of Penzanze Broadway version and Oklahoma, Whistle Down The Wind, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Me and My Girl, Copacabana, Grease and many more! She has also choreographed for several fashion shows!
